Dirty Hands Burleigh is a wonderful pottery school and studio located in Burleigh Heads. The studio offers a welcoming and creative environment for pottery enthusiasts of all skill levels. The instructors (shout out to Miriam) are knowledgeable and patient, making it a great place for beginners and experienced potters alike. Liz is also great to deal with, she is always very helpful with all my queries. The facility is well-equipped, and they offer a variety of classes and workshops to explore different pottery techniques. I loved the advanced courses offered by Dirty Hands. It helped accelerate my journey to become a better potter. The sense of community and the opportunity to express your creativity make Dirty Hands Burleigh a fantastic place to learn and practice pottery.

I know Miriam, the wheel teacher, so I knew I would have fun at these classes, but what I didn’t know is that she is such an amazing teacher! Miriam is calm, fun, and very thorough. At the start of each class, she sat down at a wheel with us to explain and demonstrate what we were doing that day. Whenever I felt like I had a question like “where should our hands be during that part”, before I could ask, she would answer my question in her explanation. This happened a lot and I really appreciated her thoroughness 😀 There was never a moment I felt like I failed if a piece didn't work, it was always “yeah that happens, but here’s what we can do to fix it”.I completed my 4-week course over a month ago (where I made the 5 pieces you see all together) and have since gone back for the casual classes, making more pots/vases and even a bowl!Dirty Hands have a wonderful team and I'm excited to continue my pottery journey with them 😀 Highly recommend!!

I recently had the extraordinary opportunity to participate in an art competition that opened doors to an awesome experience: painting a mural with my talented friend Ju Ferreira. From start to finish, the Dirty Hands team showed a passion to fostering creativity, connecting with the local community, and supporting artists like me.The team at Dirty Hands is an absolute gem (Steve, Iago and Liz) . They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of their artistic family from the moment I stepped through their doors. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm for art were contagious, creating an atmosphere that was both inspiring and comfortable.Throughout the mural painting process, the Dirty Hands team proved to be not only supportive but also incredibly amazing. They were there every step of the way, offering guidance and support. Thanks to Dirty Hands, Ju and I had opportunity to connect with the local community. We believe in the power of art to bring people together and foster meaningful connections. Thanks Dirty Hands for such an uplifting and positive experience. Thank you for the opportunity to leave our mark in Burleigh and make it more magical!Mari Bray xxx

I had a wonderful time at the clay free hand workshop! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. As a first-timer, I was thrilled to create something with my own hands, and I'm grateful for their guidance. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking for a fun activity to do with friends and family.
