Create a Lamp Workshop

An all-inclusive workshop broken into two classes where students will learn to design and create their own table or floor lamp with one of our teachers, Claudia. The class includes clay, firing, a complimentary Mud Club session to glaze their work, and a pre-wired lamp holder with switch.

Lesson one is all about designing, planning, and throwing! Claudia will provide inspiration, and students will break down their designs into manageable components. Participants will be encouraged to expand on their current skillset and design a piece that pushes their practice in both scale and complexity of form.

Lesson two will focus on trimming and assembling. Students will work on refining their proportions and ensuring all components fit once their piece is fired.

Once dry, pieces will be bisque fired, and students will be able to book into a complimentary Mud Club session to glaze their work.

Please note this class is not designed for complete beginners. It is recommended that participants can comfortably centre and throw 1kg of clay.

Wheel throwing skills are required. (This workshop is not suitable for beginners)
The max capacity for this class is 8 ppl to help create a more intimate and focused learning environment.
The course is non-refundable but can be transferred to another date if unable to attend and we are notified 24hrs in advanced.
