Throwing Teapots

$395

In this hands-on course where you’ll learn the process of creating a functional teapot from start to finish. Over two Saturdays, you’ll throw, assemble, and explore glazing techniques — leaving with a beautiful teapot that’s truly your own.

Week 1: Throwing the Forms
  • Learn how to throw the essential parts of a teapot on the wheel (body, spout, lid, and handle).

  • Explore tips and techniques from Claudia to improve your throwing skills.

  • Prepare your pieces for the next stage of assembly.

Week 2: Assembly + Glazing Demonstration
  • Refine and trim your teapot components.

  • Learn how to assemble the spout, lid, and handle for balance and functionality.

  • Watch Claudia’s demonstration on glazing, with techniques and pointers for achieving the right finish.

Glazing Your Teapot

Each ticket includes one Mud Club session, where you’ll return once your teapot has been bisque-fired. You’ll be able to glaze it yourself at a time that suits you.

This course runs for two consecutive Saturdays and each session runs for 3.5hrs.
